David Pearse

David first started acting with the Viewpoint Players in Newry with Seán Hollywood.  David's first play with Seán was A Midsummer Night's Dream in which he played Demetrius. 

He studied drama at the Samuel Beckett Centre, Trinity College Dublin. His appearances include The Hunt for Red Willie (nominated Best supporting actor in 2000 Irish Times/ESB Theatre Awards), Swim Two Birds, Lolita (in cooperation with The Corn Exchange), Henry IV part one (Abbey and Peacock Theatres) The Misanthrope and Eccentricities of a Nightingale (The gate),  Mud (Best Production 2003 Irish Times/ESB Theatre Awards), The Seagull, Five-Car Show, (Corn Exchange), Feileacán Fáin (Iomha Idánach), Julius Caesar, The Revengers Tragedy, Measure For Measure, The Spanish Tragedy, Coriobanus and The White Devil (Loose Canon Theatre Company), Borrowed Robes, Carolan's Farewell, Pigtown (Island Theatre Company), Alone it Stands (Yew Theatre Company), Conversation with a Cupboard Man (Semper Fi) Diurmuid and Gráinne and Studs (Passion Machine).

He was awarded best Actor in the 2001 Fringe Festival in Scenes From a Watercooler (Guna Nua Theatre Company).

He appeared most recently in Playboy of the Western World (Druid).

Film and television work includes
Spin the Bottle, Rebel Heart (BBC) An Everlasting Piece (Dreamworks) Bloody Sunday, Bachelor's Walk and Laws of Attraction.
