Tom Creed
This is Tom's first time working with Rough Magic. He is currently participating in Rough Magic's SEEDS II Directors' Programme. Tom studied English and Philosophy at UCC. He is a co-founder and joint Artistic Director of Playgroup and a Director of the Everyman Palace Studio, Cork. Previous assistant directing credits Rehearsed readings Student theatre when at UCC included Equus (Best Production/Best Director, ISDA 2000) and A Play on Two Chairs (Best Production, Acthéa Festival of European Student Theatre, Albi, France). Tom participated in the first International Director's Residency at the Abbey Theatre in July 2003, with Hungarian director Laszlo Marton.
Losing Steam (Corcadorca, Director Pat Kiernan) and White Woman Street and Racoon (Meridian, Director Johnny Hanrahan). Directing credits include Soap! (Cork Midsummer Festival, Dublin Fringe Festival and Everyman Palace, Cork) and Crave and Integrity (Granary for Playgroup).
Monged (Triskel Arts Centre) and Noose (City Arts Centre for Corcadorca), Last Call and Innocent (When You Dream) (Granary and Edinburgh Fringe), Measure for Measure (UCC Dramat), La Ronde, Sexual Perversity in Chicago, Splendour, Roberto Zucco and Mr Kolpert (Granary).
